Why Global Health Matters wants every visitor to be able to use this website, whatever their ability. Accessibility is an ongoing priority, and we refine the site over time.
The standard we follow
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA — the benchmark referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
Steps we have taken
- A “skip to main content” link, page landmarks and a visible keyboard focus outline.
- Ongoing automated checks of the site against WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Clear labels on form fields so they work with screen readers and voice control.
- Pinch-to-zoom is never blocked, and motion is reduced for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
- Full keyboard operation of menus, controls and interactive elements.
- Text alternatives for images and meaningful names for links, buttons, icons and embedded media.
Known limitations
Parts of this site rely on third-party services such as embedded maps, videos, booking tools and review widgets. Because we do not control those, they may not meet the same standard — if any of them block you, let us know and we will find another way to help.
